I had the opportunity to play around with an A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Time Zone yesterday and I was completely blown away. I think it may be my favorite watch in the world. I have always liked it, but I find myself liking it more and more every time I look at it. I am a sucker for GMT or travel time watches in general, because I love having the option of immediately knowing what time it is elsewhere in the world, but this A. Lange piece just seems perfect in every way. It is a perfect size, can go with pretty much anything and is absolutely stunning. Meanwhile, I am convinced that A. Lange & Sohne's finishing is second to none. The attention to detail is incredible. I could just stare at the exhibition case back for hours. I am fortunate enough to work for a company that carries approximately 50 different brands, so I do get to see a lot of cool pieces on a daily basis. This one, however, just continues to stand out to me over and over again. Granted this watch is not for all of us, as it does accompany a high price tag, but it does not cost anything to admire! If you are a true watch enthusiast and have yet to see one in person, I recommend you do. |

Last week I had the terrific opportunity to travel overseas to Le Locle, Switzerland to take part in the 2008 Ulysse Nardin retailer trip. Approximately 40 different retailers from all across the United States, Asia and the Middle East got to partake in the event. |
