Hermes was founded in 1837 as a maker of saddles and harnesses. By the 20th century, Hermes had established itself as a very prestigious manufacturer of luxurious leathers. Still today the brand specializes in leather straps. Their most popular watch lines are the Cape Cod, Clipper and Arceau collections.
