Tag Heuer is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer. In 1869, Edouard patented the first crown-winding mechanism for pocket watches, and by 1914 the brand had created its first wristwatch with a chronograph function. In 1916, Tag Heuer created the “Micrograph,” which was the first ever stopwatch that could record time to the 1/100th of a second. The brand still produces such chronographs today in addition to many other sporty models. Tag Heuer’s most popular lines are the Carrera, Link, Aquaracer and Formula 1 collections. Many celebrities, such as Maria Sharapova and Tiger Woods, wear the brand on their wrist today.
