Ulysse Nardin was founded in 1846 in Le Locle, Switzerland. Initially the company only produced marine chronometers, however, they are now able to produce several complicated timepieces today. In 1983, Rolf Schnyder acquired the brand with the help of several investors and revamped the company’s image. Ulysse Nardin has greatly increased in popularity ever since. The brand’s signature watch is the Freak, a manually wound watch with a seven-day power reserve that cannot be overwound. The company’s most popular lines are the Maxi Marine line and the Quadrato line.
