The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here! Paul Newman’s Rolex Daytona is at auction in New York City.

In June, it was announced that Paul Newman’s actual Paul Newman Daytona would be heading to auction and that time has come.

UPDATE: Starting bid was $1,000,000 with the first bid raising the bar to $10,000,000! The hammer struck 14 minutes later with a winning bid of $15,500,000 before any fees! The Paul Newman has set new records in the watch auction world and for Rolex!

Paul Newman’s Daytona

The watch itself is historically important, especially belonging to Mr. Newman. The dial is unrestored, with a nice patina and aged lume. The case has some wear but is in good shape with the engraving “Drive Carefully, Me” on the case back from his wife. The watch speaks to both the watch enthusiast and car lover.
