Over the last few days there have been more watches released for the Only Watch 2015 Charity Auction, taking place in Geneva, November 7, 2015. We first announced a few of the watches this week in our Only Watch 2015 update. Here we have four more watches that will be available for auction by Hublot, Vulcain, Richard Mille and Voutilainen.
More Watches Announced
Hublot Classic Fusion
Hublot has been a long supporter of Only Watch and this year they don’t disappoint with their Classic Fusion model. They partnered with Brazilian artist Romero Britto to create the beautiful contemporary pop art enameled dial with cubist inspiration. The dial itself is made of white gold and champlevé Grand Feu enamel. The pop art design reads Only Watch in the center of the dial and playfully balances the red leather strap. This watch will be auctioned with the original artwork done by Romero Britto which inspired the unique dial.
Vulcain 50S Presidents
The 50S Presidents has been re-designed for the Only Watch 2015 auction. It features a Grand Feu enamel dial depicting the winged stallion Pegasus on a two-toned scene of blue and oranges. Pegasus symbolizes power against evil forces, aligning with the mission to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The watch also features an 18k rose gold case with self-winding in-house movement and famous Cricket alarm complication.
Richard Mille Tourbillon RM 27-02
This Troubillon is a prototype of the RM 27-02 Rafael Nadal, worn and tested by Rafael Nadal during the 2015 tennis season. This ultra-light watch has a case back and bezel made from NTPT carbon fused with TPT Quartz and various layers are exposed. This skeleton watch features a uni-body where the case band and base-plate are formed into one single piece. The tourbillon equipped movement can resist shocks up to 5000g, an important factor when playing tennis or other high impact sports.
Voutilainen, known for majestic dials and case finishing, created a GMT-6 to show off his craftsmanship. This watch will show off a Grand Feu enamel dial in both blue and gray. It also uses an all-new movement entirely designed, produced and finished at his workshops. The movement uses two escape wheels that directly impulses the balance wheel to improve stability and longevity of the watch. The hand finished watch has two time zones and a day-night indicator all within a stainless steel case.
Remember that the Only Watch auction will take place November 7, 2015 in Geneva. They are raising money to further advance research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, to hopefully find the cure. There will be 43 unique watches up for auction, each piece must be either a prototype, the first of a limited edition or a unique edition of an existing watch.
