Founded in 1891 by Webb C. Ball in Cleveland, Ohio, Ball Watches is directly linked to the American railroad history. Currently based in Switzerland, the company has positioned itself as an innovative firm that works hard on developing new technologies. Webb C. Ball was designated the “Chief Time Inspector” after a head-on collision between two trains called for the need to have standardized time in watches used on trains. He grew the “RR Standard” to assure a high accuracy and perfect time reading. Since then, Ball has continued to grow and expand on its innovations and technologies. Included in their accomplishments are ³H micro gas tubes, crown protection system, Amortiser anti-shock system, SpringLOCK System and the Slide Chronograph. Their collections are all inspired by the American railroads in both name and design.
