2021 Rolex GMT Master II: Batman + Oyster Bracelet! Preowned Watches From Omega, Patek, and Zenith

Contact tmosso@thewatchbox.com for pricing and availability; Either I have it, or I can get it! The 2021 Rolex GMT-Master II “Batman” takes center stage on today’s episode of “Weekend Watches” with Tim Mosso. WatchBox’s unrivaled collection of luxury preowned watches yields a spectacular array of the finest men’s watches and the best watch brands. Rolex, always a fan favorite, quietly reintroduced a legend for the 2021 model year, and Tim is ready to explain this stealth launch for watch collectors, watch buyers, and watch enthusiasts. This is YouTube’s only illustrated preowned watch safari! Baselworld 2013 witnessed the birth of a legend; for the first time, the Rolex GMT Master II was offered with a black and blue bezel insert. Nicknamed the Rolex “Batman,” the resulting watch only grew stronger with age, and watch collectors actively bid against one another to own the most distinctive Rolex pilot’s watch of the 2010s. But a new generation of Rolex GMT arrived in 2018, and the new “Batgirl” of 2019 paired the black and blue bezel with a Jubilee bracelet. Many Rolex collectors simply never made peace with this change. The 2021 Rolex watches included new dials for the Datejust, a new generation of Explorer II, and – critically – a quiet return of the Rolex Jubilee bracelet on the GMT-Master II Batman. Although still dubbed reference 126710BLNR, the new watch may as well be a different model altogether. Rolex’s Oyster bracelet is sportier than the Jubilee, more robust, and, if we’re honest, better suits conventional construction of masculinity than the delicate and wan Jubilee. Aside from the new bracelet, very little about the black and blue Rolex 126710 has changed. It’s still the same basic watch that arrived in 2019. At 40mm in diameter, this is a wrist-friendly size that hews closely to Rolex tradition. Despite larger Submariners and Sea-Dwellers, Rolex has held the line with the GMT-Master and the Daytona, so both watches remain viable unisex options. An Oyster bracelet features two locks for maximum security, and the Easylink 5mm tool-free adjustment system remains. Since the first Rolex GMT Master arrived in late 1954, the watch has been pitched as a pilot’s watch for aviators spanning time zones. The current GMT continues to display two independent time zones with a third available through the use of the ceramic-topped “Batman” bezel. Stainless steel construction ensures durability, and 100-meter water resistance allows this particular pilot watch to go where no Speedmaster Professional, Navitimer, or Big Pilot’s Watch would dare. Internally, Rolex uses the in-house 3285 automatic movement. It provides 70 hours of power reserve, two time zones, stop seconds, and a robust architecture that can endure both shock and magnetism. The GMT-Master II 126710 is a COSC certified Swiss chronometer, and Rolex re-tests the fully assembled watch to more rigorous timing standards that it dubs “Superlative Chronometer” validation. Today’s episode also includes watches from Omega, Jaeger LeCoultre, Patek Philippe, and Zenith watches of Le Locle. • 28:42 Cartier Drive de Cartier Flying Tourbillon W4100013 rose gold, Geneva hallmark $49,950 • 01:53 De Bethune DB26 Perpetual Calendar DB26RS1 rose gold and titanium, moonphase o Email tmosso@thewatchbox.com for pricing • 04:50 De Bethune DB28XP Starry Sky DB28XPTIS2P o Email tmosso@thewatchbox.com for pricing • 22:52 Glashutte Original SeaQ Panorama Date 1-36-13-02-81-34 blue dial, grey textile strap $9,950 • 20:38 Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Orlinsky Red Magic 525.CF.0130.RX.ORL19 $19,950 o Chronograph, red ceramic, 200 pieces • 25:30 HYT H4 Neo 2 Red 512-TD-68-RF-RN, LED lights, $24,950 • 15:23 Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Navy SEALs Diving Alarm Incursion Edition $16,950 o Reference Q183T47J, Memovox alarm, 62 pieces, dive watch • 09:23 Omega Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Edition 210.90.42.20.01.001 $9,950 • 12:37 Oris Aquis Date Calibre 400 400 7769 4157RS green fume dial, 41.5mm, $2,750 • 06:58 Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 1117 $21,950 • 18:53 Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711R-001, rose gold, leather strap, grey dial $89,950 • 00:35 2021 Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II 126710BLNR “Batman,” Oyster bracelet $22,450 • 21:53 Zenith Academy Georges Favre Jacot 150th Anniversary 18.2210.4810/01.C713 $42,450 o Fusee and chain, chronometer, power reserve indicator, 150 pieces Please subscribe to our channel for the best luxury watch reviews on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/WatchBoxReviews/?sub_confirmation=1 Visit our website at www.thewatchbox.com for the latest pre-owned luxury watch arrivals and industry-leading value in previously loved luxury timepieces.
