This Perpetual Calendar, the fourth watch in Patek Philippe's Advanced Research series, is encased in 37.2 mm of platinum surrounding a silver dial on a brown alligator leather strap with a platinum buckle. A top-grade Wesselton diamond is set between the lugs at 12 o'clock. Features of the Patek Philippe caliber 240Q include silicon Patek Philippe Advanced Research features including the Gyromax SI balance wheel, a silicon Spiromax hairspring, the Silinvar silicon escape whee, Pulsomax silicon lever; to together, the form "Oscillomax," an assortment of advanced components that extends the power reserve to 70 hours. Additional features of the Patek Philippe 5550P-001 include a caseback magnifying glass (loupe), 24-hour dial, hours, minutes, seconds, date, month, moon phase, and perpetual calendar.
