On February 15th, 2018, Glashütte Original launches the Senator Chronograph during the 68th Berlinale, and reflects the urban gentleman’s attitude to life. The watch was released in Berlin just hours before one of the biggest film festivals in the world begins. The city offers the perfect backdrop for the German made watches.
Senator Chronograph Capital Edition
This new limited edition Senator Chronograph fits perfectly into the energy found in Berlin and the Berlinale, the Capital Edition gives the classic design a striking new look, in stainless steel, rose gold or platinum.
Design Features
The watch features two new dial colors, fashioned in-house with specially developed hues in “Bourbon Grey” and “Dry Silver”. There are beige, white and blue details on the dial with Super-LumiNova highlighting in the dark. Staying true to the Senator Chronograph design, the dials are easily read, whether you’re looking at the time, chronograph or panoramic date.
There was particular attention to the subtle details of the dial. Deep blue totalizers surround the chronograph displays, giving a stylish contrast of color. Each of the totalizers are then surrounded by a thin shimmering silver ring for more accents. Hidden within the small seconds display is a discreet power reserve display.
The strap features a contrasting white stitch against either brown or blue calfskin. There is a patented 8-step fine adjustment mechanism on the bracelet of the stainless steel version of the model.
Glashütte Original Caliber 37
Inside the Capital Edition of the Senator Chronograph is the manufactory Calibre 37 movement. The Caliber 37 is found in all Senator Chronograph Panorama Date models and features an innovative flyback chronograph. It features a column wheel mechanism to assure the highest standards in stability, aesthetics, precision and maintenance.
