Audemars Piguet

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Royal Oak Offshore, Audemars Piguet has released a re-edition similar to the original version.

Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 25th Anniversary 26237ST & Technical Details

The new Royal Oak Offshore Ref. 26237ST is the re-edition of the watch originally released at Baselworld in 1993. The new model remains true to the original with the 42mm case and polishing.

The crown and pushers are also rubber instead of the ceramic we have seen on other models. The dial also brings back the “Petite Tapisserie” on the blue guilloched dial.

Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph & Technical Details

Also announced is the Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph. This model takes the Offshore from it’s re-edition into the future. The watch sizes up to 45mm and features a new technical movement design and bold approach. The new architectural construction makes the movement appear as if it were suspended.

Millenary & Technical Details

The Millenary has also been re-designed for women. The dial exposes different layers of the manual wind movement. The bracelet has been re-designed as well to give the feel of a “second-skin” while also giving the watch a vintage inspiration. There is a brand new Opal Dial  to complement the white or pink gold frosted gold cases. It is the first time the stone has been used on a Millenary design.

In 2018, IWC is celebrating 150 year of watchmaking. With this celebration, they are introducing the Jubilee collection at SIHH with a total of 27 limited edition models from the Portugieser, Portofino, Pilot’s an Da Vinci families.

IW5050-02 Pallweber Edition 150 Years

One of the most talked about early releases is the IWC Tribute to Pallweber Edition “150 Years”. The watch features a white lacquered dial with white display discs. The hour and minute windows of the watch are labelled as “Hours” and “Minutes”, referencing the design of the historic Pallweber watches and a tribute to F.A. Jones, the American Watchmaker who founded IWC.

150 Years of IWC 2018 Releases

In addition to the Pallweber, IWC has pre-released the Da Vinci Automatic, and Automatic Moon Phase 36 Edition, Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon and the Portugieser Constant-Force Tourbillon.

IW3581-02 Left / IW4593-04 Right

The Da Vinci Automatic Edition “150 Years” is reference IW3581-02 is the first watch to feature the new IWC 82200 calibre. The Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 IW4593-04 is inspired by watches released in the late-1980s and during the 1990s, such as the reference 8435. The new release features a lacquered white dial with moon phase and features a case covered in diamonds.

Two tourbillon models have been released as part of the Jubilee collection. The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Edition “150 Years” IW5045-01, combines a tourbillon and perpetual calendar for the first time. The 18k red gold case also features a white lacquered dial and is powered by the IWC 51950 calibre. The Portugieser Constant Force Tourbillon Edition “150 Years” IW5902-02, is another standout watch with white lacquered dial. This watch features a platinum case with manual wind IWC 94805 calibre inside with constant force mechanism to provide even impulses to the escape wheel.


Based on the Reverso Tribute Duoface, Jaeger-LeCoultre has released the Reverso Tribute Duoface “Casa Fagliano”. This watch is part of a partnership with Casa Fagliano, celebrated Argentinian bootmakers. The leather strap of this model demonstrates the leathercraft tradition and complements the 18k pink gold case.

There are two contrasting dials to display different time zones. There is a slate grey sunray dial with Dauphine hands while the other side features both a Clous de Paris guilloche and opaline finish in the center.

Two models have been released already from Piaget, the Extremely Lady and the Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P.

Extremely Lady

Piaget is bringing back their disctinctive pairing of gold work and oval dial, with this 1960s inspired timepiece. This piece goes back to a time when Jackie Kennedy Onassis put her imprint on style and was breaking the rules of traditional formal dress codes. Piaget turns precious gold into exquisite textures and complements the mother-of-pearl dial with 24 brilliant diamonds.

Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P & Technical Details

After losing the title of Thinnest Automatic, Piaget is back with the Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P. Piaget uses a unique design integrating the main-plate with the caseback. The watch is just 4.30mm thick and the movement features extremely thin parts (some barely thicker than a piece of hair!).  To also save on space, the movement is outfitted with a peripheral rotor, allowing the watchmakers to save 1mm or more needed from a traditional center mounted rotor.

Vacheron Constantin

One of the most practical, daily wear, complications is the Dual-Time. This year for SIHH, Vacheron Constantin has released their coveted Overseas model with the addition of a Dual-Time function, reference 7900V. The watch is powered by the new Vacheron Constantin Caliber 5110 DT, allowing for simultaneous reading of two time-zones. Local time is centrally located wile there is a small hand with triangular arrow showing the second timezone (or home time).
